Citrus Blend Massage Oil puts three citrus peels on one label: sweet orange, mandarin and grapefruit. Grape seed and almond oils carry them, wheat germ oil adds weight, allantoin conditions the skin. Interesting fact: citrus is the major aromatic group that is pressed rather than distilled. The oil sits in glands in the peel and is squeezed out cold, so the material that reaches the bottle has never been heated. That is why citrus oil smells like the fruit in your hand. The consequence for a treatment is that citrus is a top note: it arrives within the first minute and it fades across the hour. Bright, sharp and short, which is exactly what you want at nine in the morning and wrong at nine at night. Main benefits:

Allantoin closes the list on skin conditioning. How to use:

1. Application: 15 ml. Open the bottle in front of the client if you are selling the treatment on the scent; this is the one where the first impression happens before you touch them.
2. Massage: Brisk, energising sequences. This oil suits a shorter appointment and a faster pace better than a slow 90 minute protocol.
3. Tip: Store it cool and closed. Cold-pressed citrus oils oxidise faster than the woods and florals in this range, and an old bottle smells flat and slightly resinous.

Sun caution: Contains cold-pressed grapefruit peel oil. Advise clients to keep treated skin out of direct sunlight and off sunbeds for at least 12 hours after the session.
