Orange & Cinnamon Massage Oil, 500 ml

For the autumn and winter menu, and for a treatment room that needs to smell like the season without a candle.

500 ml covers 25 to 50 full-body treatments at 10 to 20 ml per session. At €16.00 and a 15 ml application that is €0.48 per treatment.

🍊 Cinnamon leaf, not bark. The label says Cinnamomum zeylanicum Leaf Oil, and leaf and bark are two different materials.

🧪 Leaf oil runs 70 to 83 percent eugenol and only a few percent cinnamaldehyde. Bark oil is the reverse, at around 75 percent cinnamaldehyde. That is why this reads closer to clove than to a cinnamon stick.

🌕 Two orange oils plus grapefruit on the citrus side, giving a sweeter and rounder top than a single peel oil.

💛 Tocopherol sits fourth on the list, ahead of the aromatics.

☀️ Contains cold-pressed grapefruit peel oil, which can make skin more sensitive to UV. Keep treated skin out of sun and sunbeds for at least 12 hours.

🏭 Made by Kozmetika Hristina to one batch formula. The bottle you reorder matches the one you opened.

Nine ingredients. Grape seed and sweet almond oils are the carriers, wheat germ oil adds weight, tocopherol is the antioxidant, allantoin conditions the skin. The spice is Cinnamomum zeylanicum Leaf Oil, which is a different material from cinnamon bark oil: leaf oil is eugenol-dominant at roughly 70 to 83 percent with a few percent cinnamaldehyde, and bark oil is cinnamaldehyde-dominant at around 75 percent. Sweet orange appears in two declared forms alongside cold-pressed grapefruit peel oil. Cold-pressed grapefruit peel oil can increase the skin's sensitivity to UV light. Contains almond oil, a tree nut.

INCI/Ingredients: Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil, Prunus Dulcis Amygdalus Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Oil, Tocopherol, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Peel Oil, Cinnamomum Zeylanicum Leaf Oil, Citrus Grandis Peel Oil, Triticum Vulgare Oil, Allantoin.

This is a menu product before it is a massage oil. A seasonal name sells a booking in November to someone who would not otherwise book, and the scent has to deliver on the name from the first minute. It does, with a shape most single-aromatic oils cannot manage: cold-pressed citrus arrives first and fades, and the heavier cinnamon leaf note stays behind it through the hour. Worth knowing what that spice actually is, because a client may ask. The label says leaf oil, not bark, and leaf oil runs 70 to 83 percent eugenol against a few percent cinnamaldehyde, so it sits closer to clove than to a cinnamon stick. Three things to carry into the room: warm the oil properly or the spice stays flat, patch test a new client because eugenol is a recognised sensitiser, and keep treated skin away from sun and sunbeds for at least 12 hours because of the grapefruit component.

Seasonal autumn and winter menus, and gift voucher treatments over the holidays. Not for a first appointment without a forearm patch test, because cinnamon leaf oil is eugenol-dominant, and not before sun or sunbed exposure, because of the cold-pressed grapefruit peel oil.

Orange & Cinnamon Massage Oil

Orange & Cinnamon Massage Oil is the seasonal oil in this range, and the cinnamon in it is not the one most people picture. Interesting fact: the label names Cinnamomum zeylanicum Leaf Oil, and cinnamon leaf and cinnamon bark are two different commercial materials with two different chemistries. Leaf oil runs roughly 70 to 83 percent eugenol with only a few percent cinnamaldehyde, while bark oil is dominated by cinnamaldehyde at around 75 percent. Eugenol is the molecule that makes clove smell like clove, so this reads warm and spicy and slightly clove-like, not like a cinnamon stick in mulled wine. Sweet orange sits on top of it in two forms, with grapefruit peel oil alongside, and grape seed and almond oils carry the whole thing. Tocopherol appears fourth on the list. Main benefits:

  • Warm and spicy from eugenol, which is closer to clove than to cinnamon bark.
  • Two sweet orange oils plus grapefruit, so the citrus is rounder than a single peel.
  • Nine ingredients, four of them aromatic, where most oils in this range carry one.
  • Seasonal without being a candle, so the scent lives on the skin and not in the air.

How the product works: The citrus oils are cold-pressed and light, so they arrive first and fade first. The cinnamon leaf oil is heavier and stays behind them, which is what gives the blend a shape across the hour instead of a single flat note. Grape seed oil thins under warm hands, almond oil holds the slip, wheat germ oil and tocopherol sit on the antioxidant side of the formula, and allantoin closes it on skin conditioning. How to use:

  1. Application: 15 ml. Warm it well; the cinnamon leaf note needs body heat to come forward and stays flat on a cold application.
  2. Massage: Back, shoulders and legs. Keep it off the face and off broken skin.
  3. Tip: Pair it with the seasonal name on your booking page. Clients book a spiced treatment in November who would not book a massage.

Suitable for: Spa and salon menus that change with the season, gift voucher treatments over the winter, and practices that want a scent their clients associate with a specific time of year.

Sensitisation note: Cinnamon leaf oil is eugenol-dominant, and eugenol is a recognised skin sensitiser and a declarable EU fragrance allergen. Patch test a new client on the forearm before a full-body treatment, and check the printed label for the fragrance allergen declaration.

Sun caution: Contains cold-pressed grapefruit peel oil. Advise clients to keep treated skin out of direct sunlight and off sunbeds for at least 12 hours after the session.

Results with regular use:

  • A seasonal treatment you can name and price separately on the menu.
  • An aroma with a shape: citrus first, spice underneath, across the hour.
  • Even slip on one application across a 60 minute protocol.
  • Skin stays comfortable on repeated weekly work.

Yes. The formula contains no silicones, parabens or artificial colorants. Allantoin and beeswax make it gentle enough for repeated use. Always perform a patch test for clients with known skin sensitivities.
